Objective

To communicate building regulations using visuals and design icons for an online platform.

Background

Auckland Council's building permit application system was going through a major update where most of it's functionality would be transferred online. Regulations which were primarily in text were visualised and icons were created for the platform. Since users would range from hobbyists to professionals the terminology and visuals were kept straightforward as possible.
